DISCUSSION This isn't a bug. According to RFC 1166 (page 47), internet addresses in the range 192.0.0.rrr are reserved. MacTCP knows this, doesn't allow this address to be used, and issues a "bad ip or LAP configuration error" (error id = -23001). Addresses in the range 192.0.0.rrr are valid, but they are reserved. MacTCP, MacTCP 1.1.1 inclusive, does have a problem in that it doesn't allow the use of internet addresses in the range 192.0.1.rrr. We have reported this problem to the MacTCP engineering team.
