    AppleShare IP 6 uses the following default password methods for its services:
    Service
    Encryption
    AFP
    		Two-way encrypted
    POP
    		APOP encrypted or clear text (based on email client settings)
    FTP
    		Clear text only
    SMB
    • DES-based LanManager encrypted password for Windows 9x clients.
    • MD5-based encryption for Windows NT clients.
    IMAP Clear text only
