    How can I tell if my iBook battery is fully charged?

DISCUSSION

    There are a number of ways to determine if the battery has a full charge:
    • If the battery is being charged, the AC power port on the rear of the iBook will glow amber. It changes to green when the battery has a full charge.
    • The battery icon in the menu bar will have a lightning bolt through it when the battery is charging. The lightning bolt disappears when the battery is fully charged.
    • The battery icon in the Control Strip will show the same lightning bolt when charging. It also disappears when the battery is fully charged.

    The Lithium-Ion iBook battery will take approximately 2 hours to fully recharge when in sleep mode or when shut down. If the computer is running, the charge time doubles to approximately 4 hours.
